The Dimanches au Galop (Gallop Sundays) offer an opportunity for the entire family to interact with the exciting world of horse racing. During each of these eight special Sundays, eight races take place. Jockeys and their mounts compete in various disciplines, with the flagship race being the Prix Dimanche au Galop. You can even place a bet if you get the urge. If you’re new to the world of horse racing, don’t worry about feeling out of your depth as guides await you in the Easy Racing area to explain the races, how to get the most out of them and how to bet like an experienced punter. Children are welcome to accompany the jockeys during the presentation round. Fun for all guaranteed!
Children are at the heart of the Dimanches au Galop
Children are front and centre during these Sundays at the ParisLongchamp and Auteuil racecourses. Throughout the day they can take part in a whole host of activities related to the world of horses. They might want to start with a pony baptism and enjoy their first experience in the saddle. Or they can ride the easiest of mounts; one of the magnificent wooden horses of the Belle Époque carousel. There’s no need to rein in their enthusiasm as access to this traditional-style ride is free. Take a quick break and then it’s time to cheer on the runners and riders at the legendary racetrack before competing in a sack race or even a hobby horse race, for which the competitors set off from the stalls like the great thoroughbreds and their jockeys! There’s also family fun with a unicorn pony who takes you on an adventure with a gift at the end...

The ParisLongchamp and Auteuil racecourses are only fifteen minutes away by Metro from your Hotel Auteuil Tour Eiffel, so it’s easy to get there.
