A royal celebration at Versailles
Less than half an hour by car and 40 minutes by public transport from the Hotel Auteuil Tour Eiffel, the Palace of Versailles stands proudly amidst its glorious French-style gardens and huge park. If you visit on a summer Saturday between June 10th and September 23rd, you can wait until nightfall for the magic of the Fountains Night Show to begin. On these occasions, for two and a half hours of enchantment, all the fountain basins of the groves and flowerbeds are filled with water from the play of the fountains. Tastefully designed lighting illuminates them and baroque music is played amidst the paths and groves. The ambiance of a royal celebration is recreated, and you can wander through a setting that seems unchanged in two hundred years.

The Fountains Night Show climaxes with a spectacular fireworks display over the Grand Canal. From the terrace of the château, you can enjoy a fine view of the main fountain basins, including the famous bassin d’Apollon that symbolises the greatness of Louis XIV, ablaze with the myriad colours of the pyrotechnics. To complete your journey through time in Versailles, you can combine the Fountains Night Show with the Royal Serenade. This performance by Baroque musicians and dancers in period costume takes place at sunset, from the Royal Chapel to the Hall of Mirrors. It’s like being there at the 17th century royal court. Finally, don't miss the programme of exceptional Nocturnes. On August 15th, the Nocturnes de Feu will offer you a unique fireworks display designed by Groupe F and on September 23rd, the Nocturnes Electro invites you to enjoy a similar experience but with an electro soundtrack. The resulting contrast, far from being displeasing, charms the senses!
